URL Navigator — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-10-05

1. Overview

URL Navigator (“the Extension”) is a Chrome extension published by phiez.com. Automatically navigates through a list of URLs one after another in a single browser tab and reports whether each page loaded successfully. This policy explains what data the Extension handles and how.

2. Data we handle

The Extension stores the following data locally on your device using Chrome’s storage APIs:

  • The list of URLs you enter
  • Delay setting between pages
  • Results of the last run (success / failed per URL)
  • URLs captured while Record mode is on

This data stays in your browser. You can remove it at any time by clearing the Extension’s data or uninstalling the Extension.

3. Data collection and sharing

The Extension does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal or browsing data with us or with any third party. It does not use analytics, advertising or tracking services, and it does not load or execute remote code.

4. Permissions

The Extension requests only the permissions needed for its single purpose:

  • tabs — Find the active tab and navigate it to the next URL; read the active tab URL in Record mode.
  • activeTab — Capture a screenshot of the visible tab when you click the screenshot button.
  • storage — Save your URL list, settings, run state and last results locally on your device.
  • webNavigation — Detect navigation errors (e.g. DNS failure) so a URL can be marked as failed.
  • webRequest — Read-only: read the HTTP status code of the main page so 4xx/5xx responses are marked as failed. Nothing is blocked or modified.
  • Host access (<all_urls>) — You can enter any URL to test, so the extension must be able to navigate to and observe load status on any site. It does not inject scripts or read page content.

5. Compliance

The use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data is used only to provide the Extension’s single purpose and is not used for unrelated purposes, creditworthiness or lending decisions.

6. Children

The Extension is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.

7. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the “Last updated” date above will be revised. Material changes — in particular any new data handling or new permission — will be described here before they ship.
